Privacy Policy

App: Swiphoto Last updated: May 30, 2026

Swiphoto is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third‑party tracking SDKs.

This policy explains what the app accesses and why.

The short version

  • We collect no personal data.
  • Your photos never leave your device through Swiphoto.
  • Everything the app stores stays locally on your device.
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites.

Photo library access

Swiphoto needs access to your photo library so it can show your photos one at a time for you to sort. This access is used only on your device to:

  • Display your photos inside the app.
  • Add photos you swipe left to a local album called "Swiphoto Archive" within your own Photos library.
  • Permanently delete the photos in that album when you choose Purge (iOS moves deleted photos to Recently Deleted, where they remain for 30 days before being removed, per Apple).

Your photos are never uploaded to us or to any third party. We never see them.

If your photo library is stored in iCloud, iOS may download or sync photos through Apple's services so the app can display them. That syncing is handled entirely by Apple under your own iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Information stored on your device

To remember your progress, Swiphoto saves a small amount of information locally on your device (in the app's preferences). This never leaves your device and includes:

  • Identifiers of photos you've already reviewed.
  • Your "Kept" and "Deleted" counters and the order of your photo queue.
  • Whether you've completed onboarding and seen the tutorial.

This information is removed when you delete the app, or when you use Start Over inside the app.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect or process: your name, email, contacts, location, device identifiers for tracking, usage analytics, crash data, or any advertising data. Swiphoto contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks.

Permissions

  • Photo Library — required for the app to function (sorting your photos). You can review or change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.

Children's privacy

Swiphoto does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
